As Market Director, you will be fully accountable for the performance, growth, and culture of the Starbucks brand across Romania and Bulgaria. Acting as a true brand ambassador, you will lead and develop strong teams, deliver world-class operations, be the ambassador of change and drive sustainable sales and profitability while creating exceptional experiences for both our partners and customers.

 

Key accountabilities within the role:

 

1.    Operational Excellence & Customer Experience

  • Ensure world-class operations through outstanding execution of routines, exceptional operational standards and brand consistency.
  • Deliver the highest level of customer experience and loyalty through effective implementation of the customer service model.
  • Embed continuous improvement thinking and new ways of working to support evolving customer and business needs.

 

2.    Business Growth & Market Penetration

  • Drive sustainable brand penetration across the markets by identifying, evaluating, and preparing new store locations.
  • Actively participate in review meetings for your markets, ensuring balanced growth and people focus.
  • Navigate market complexity and change with confidence, adapting plans to support long-term brand success.

 

3.    Financial Ownership & Strategic Initiatives

  • Hold full accountability for financial performance, delivering AOP targets.
  • Lead and monitor cross-functional projects to support brand strategy and market performance, ensuring timely delivery and budget compliance, adapt plans as needed to meet evolving business priorities.
  • Initiate and lead processes that drive continuous improvement, efficiency, and sustainable profitability of the markets.

 

4.    Leadership & Culture

  • Serve as an ambassador of Starbucks & AmRest culture, creating a culture of trust, belonging, inclusion and shared accountability.
  • Build strong engagement by stretching people to perform at their best through clear expectations, meaningful goals, coaching, and recognition of high performance.
  • Develop future leaders by promoting learning, feedback, and development opportunities.
  • Ensure an excellent level of operations through monthly business reviews and personal role-modeling of Operational Excellence.
