We are looking for a Head of Construction to lead construction and development projects across Hungary, Serbia, Croatia, and Slovenia. As a key member of the Development team, this role is responsible for driving the successful delivery of investment projects, leading a team of Project Managers, and supporting the growth of our restaurant brands across the region.

This position combines a flexible working model with regular travel across the region. 

Key accountabilities

  • Project Delivery: Ensure the successful execution of construction and renovation projects across the region - meeting timelines, quality standards, and proactively managing project risks. 
  • People Leadership: Lead and develop an international team of Project Managers, fostering employee growth, engagement, and a strong people-oriented culture. 
  • Construction Planning: Partner with the Expansion Director and key stakeholders to support growth plans and manage the regional project pipeline. 
  • Cost & Contract Management: Oversee project budgets, review cost variations, support tender processes, and collaborate with contractors, consultants, and suppliers. 
  • Standards Management: Ensure compliance with brand and technical standards while driving continuous improvement, innovation, and operational efficiency. 
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with Development, Operations, Legal, and Facility teams to support project execution and portfolio development. 

Ket expectations from the Candidate

  • University degree in Engineering or a related field, combined with 5+ years of experience in development and construction project delivery. 

  • Solid understanding of construction and investment project delivery, permitting procedures, and the European and Hungarian regulatory requirements. 

  • Previous leadership experience (2+ years), focused on building engaged teams and fostering a people-oriented culture. 

  • Proactive and hands-on approach, with the ability to make decisions quickly and respond to operational challenges in a dynamic environment. 

  • Fluency in English, enabling seamless communication in an international environment.
