AmRest is seeking an experienced Legal Manager for France to join our team.
As Legal Manager, you will hold a key leadership role, overseeing legal operations in France and providing strategic advice on legal matters impacting both operational and corporate activities.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the in-house Legal Team in France, while supervising external counsel for activities across France, Belgium, Switzerland, Luxembourg, and the UK.
- Deliver high-quality legal support to multiple functions and entities in these markets.
- Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of business contracts, with a strong focus on lease agreements.
- Structure, negotiate, and close diverse transactions within France.
- Ensure compliance with local and international laws, regulations, and corporate governance standards for AmRest entities.
- Oversee statutory compliance and corporate formalities.
- Manage disputes and litigation.
- Control the Legal Department’s budget.
- Uphold AmRest’s corporate legal procedures, policies, and best practices.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders, department heads, and market leaders on legal matters in France and other designated countries, while contributing to global legal projects.
Requirements for Candidate
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a corporate legal environment.
- At least 3 years in a leadership role.
- Law degree (Bachelor’s).
- Native-level French and advanced English proficiency.
- Proven experience in drafting and negotiating lease agreements.
- Exceptional leadership skills, strategic thinking, risk management, and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Demonstrated success in managing and developing team members.
