We are looking for an experienced Head of Legal Germany and Austria / Syndikusrechtsanwalt (m/w/d) to join the team.
 

Head of Legal plays a high position in the organization by providing advice and support to the legal department and across the business.

 

Your objectives and responsibilities:

  • Management of an in-house legal team in Germany and cooperation with external lawyers in Germany and Austria;
  • Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a variety of business contracts (service and commercial agreements, distribution agreements, leases, construction works);
  • Supporting functions and entities on local law and regulation, on a vast array of subject matters, such as corporate and competition law, food law, administrative, franchise law, real estate, among others;
  • Ensuring AmRest activities comply with local law and regulation, as well as internal policies and procedures;
  • Collaboration with stakeholders from other AmRest markets, supporting cross‑border projects, ensuring alignment of legal standards and best practices;
  • Representing AmRest within local government authorities and regulators;
  • Acting as attorney in fact of AmRest, executing and otherwise formalizing contracts, corporate documents and other legal documents.

 

Your skills & experience:

  • Successfully completed law studies (second state examination);
  • Minimum 10 years’ work experience;
  • Experience in contract negotiation and drafting in a wide range of complexity;
  • Experience in the consumer product industry, franchise, competition, and food law will be treated as a significant advantage;
  • Strong leadership competency: the ability to think strategically, risk management and problem-solving, outstanding internal and external communication skills and stakeholder management;
  • Track record on managing and developing teams;
  • Flexibility and willingness to do what it takes to get the job done;
  • Independent, conscientious, reliable and solution-oriented way of working;
  • Excellent knowledge of German and European laws;
  • Languages: German (mother tongue), English (advanced+ proficiency) written and spoken.
